You would be really surprised just how many web-sites will plant a doubleclick.net, or similar, on your PC.
Please, please, please, do us an anti-spyware program regularly to clean out all the cr*p; over about a month it can really slow your machine down. Personal recommendations are Spybot S&D, AdAware, SUPERantispyware, IObit security, as well as Kaspersky which I have not tried yet. Just remember that if you have, say, 100Gb of pictures on your C: drive, the anti-spyware program will search every file, every time - this will take time, and lots of it. Get all the snapshots of the family, etc, onto a separate drive (a partition or an external) if you don't want to leave the computer running while you go shopping, etc.

Only if jailbroken. If left as it should be there will be no problems at all.

Better yet, buy two. But I see that you could not resist buying two.
I use a G4 TiBook to check out all those URLs that look like they may be just a bit dodgy (I like to think that I can usually spot the ones that really are dodgy - and have a few laughs at the incompetence of some of the spammers and scammers)

Not to mention the fact that the iPhone worm changes your wallpaper and nothing else. Once it does that it kindly seals up the hole it used to gain access (using the default SSH password).

Yes you're right Daniel and Tim you aren't right.
The new one is quite evil!

It comes in your Iphone by using a standard password over the wifi network.
The worm change the root password, makes contact with a server in Litouwen and sends information over there and by that they can take over control over your Iphone and the worm use the wifi on the iphone to search for other phones to infect so you battery is drained very fast.

BTW if you think you're 100% save with your mac then your quite wrong, there are also viruses, trojans and worms for them (since 2006). Its popularity is his doom on this point and then the awe full lot of mac user that think they don't need an antivirus program will make it an easy prey.

Here is the first evil program btw, it's a trojan link

I'm not sure what iPhone worm you are talking about ... if it is the worm named 'Ikee' then it was discovered 2 weeks ago and does what I said. It was widely regarded as the first iPhone malware. Perhaps there has been a new variant since then.

Regarding Macs you know you are facing a losing argument, so why even argue? There are probably less than a couple dozen instances of malware for OS X, and perhaps a few hundred for OS 9 and earlier. Compare that to, oh I dunno, a hundred thousand pieces of malware for Windows.
