Yes the Z1-p does do that. I have one and always leave it on that setting.
Superb viewfinder, much bigger than my K-5. Everytime I use it, I find myself looking at the back after I have taken a shot! Nothing there of course!
Mine came with the pentax 28-105 f/4-5.6 power zoom lens.

K-xs are currently hovering around £300, probably the best value Pentax DSLR to give that lens a go with. See if you can find one in a colour to match it...

This is an old three and I do wonder if the OP did ever sell the Z-1 SE with the FA*28-70/2.8.

The one on eBay is with a normal kit lens, so price wise, will not be as valable as the one with the FA*28-70 F2.8 as the lens alone can fetch as high as USD$1700 to USD$2200.
