Unless any of the MZ series can do this?

MZ-S could.

The Z-1p added a few features - best one was a 'User' mode instead of the Z-1's green mode - you could set the camera to a particular mode such as overexposure and motor drive for air shows....

Here in Singapore the FA*28-70 F2.8 can fetch as much as SGD $1600 or 776 Sterling pounds. (Sorry but my keyboard does not have the pound sign)

Keep as a set and if you want to sell pls sell as a set. You will many buyers who want the FA* Lens. I would love to et it but I do not have the funds to do so at this moment.

Thanks for advice, I will keep it together as a set, you are right it would be such a shame to split, I don't suppose many of these are left now intact

Here's an auction for a PZ-1 Special Edition, first time I see one.
Watch the result and it'll give you some indication as to the value of your kit.

Nicolas

The lens in that auction is not the same as Mark has. His is much more valuable.

Hi, I realize that

But the camera body is the same. It would be interesting to see if it fetches a premium compared to an ordinary PZ-1.

Thanks for that I will keep a eye on it although I believe the Z-1 kit I have was limted to a production run of 500 units only with the lens and presentation box, it looks like that pz-1 is in a standard box so may be higher numbers of that model were produced

As can the MZ6 (in one of the custom functions)

The one on eBay is with a normal kit lens, so price wise, will not be as valable as the one with the FA*28-70 F2.8 as the lens alone can fetch as high as USD$1700 to USD$2200.

Hi Mark,

Wonderful looking kit, the UK price of the FA* 28-70mm is generally around £600-£700, depending on condition.
Currently London Camera exchange has one at a high price of £799, (http://www.lcegroup.co.uk/Used/Pentax-AF-28-70mm-F2.8-AL_14401.html). I bought one in SRS for less than that; they do show up every so often.

I think if you decide to sell, you should only sell as a kit.
You may decide to use the kit yourself or just the lens and get enjoyment from it?
Best of luck

Thanks Sean

Yes I am going to hold onto it for now, I am tempted to get a digital body to try the lens but don't think I would use it enough to justify it

Hi Mark,

You could just get a battery and a roll of film, that would be the least expensive option.

Yes you are right that would probably be the best option, I may get hooked though

That's a very good price, i would seriously consider selling if I could get that amount, I suppose variations are due to condition
