It all sounds good. So where do we sign up to offer our service as beta testers I would like mine before the 1 of february, please!

I have never peeked through an EVF but if the current standards promises no lag, decent power consumption and good enough resolution to manual focus, then I have no emotions involved in getting rid of mirror and OVF.

Over on the American side there are some sensible arguments that it is a project resurrected from a tatty box saying "No money for this one! - HOYA"

I want two, please and will issue a full report!

well Pentax can claim the title of smallest compact camera system…Q
Pentax could easily maintain the kmount… think outside the box for a moment…
if the flange distance and the image circle are both accounted for; Pentax COULD simply design the lens so the lens mount is in the midlle of the lens barrel and part of the lens slides INTO the body, for the newer lenses, and the old k-mounts would mount normally.. by recessing the lens into the camera body, BOTH types of lenses can be used…. so perhaps the new 40 mm is recessed into the body, no adaptor needed.

you wouldn't be able to use the recessed lenses on a d-slr because the mirror would hit the rear elements of the lens, but you would have a more compact camera overall on the evil!
