I bought mine on eBay, but it looks to be the same thing. Are you sure the one you have is Pentax compatible? See this video where he says to make sure you get the one for your camera as they have different plugs.

yes it's possible that actually the jack is not compatible.

From what I understand, the Canon and Pentax remotes have the same plug, others are different.

I love it, however it has a behavior that annoys me quite a lot and now I want to know if it's normal. If I push the jack that connects to the camera all in, the camera monitor turns off. Why? Is it normal? I have to push in halfway to have the remote and the screen work at the same time, but it's not very practical.
