Just had a lot of fun getting a K100D for a guy I know who is a Pentax SLR film only shooter...hehe
The buynow of $226 inc post was nice to jump on. That amounts to about 115 quid in the Queens money
Came today with a very nice tamrac bag. Ran it through PhotoMe which revealed 4891 shots...
The kit lens was clean.
I sorted the firmware, blew off then wet cleaned the coal off the sensor, cleaned the lens, set up the menus.
Stuck the pdf manual and Faststone image viewer on the SD card, wacked in my lender Eneloops.
He turned up and seemed pleased
Gave him the quick 1 hr tutorial.
He has just got one of these new fangled laptop things so that might be useful.
Told him to bring it around so we can tune Faststone and link him to www.K100Dnoob.com
Had the presence of mind to inquire if he had any Ricoh lenses and bingo, he has, so calamity avoided

Next please !

This could snowball !
Suspecting that possibility, I didn't mention that he also left his car lights on, flattened the battery, was an auto so no pushing...supplied jumper leads and lent him a battery.
I'd told him so much bullsheet about the eneloops, nearly wacked the leads on the K100 to fire that sucker up
