Yup, its easy to see why you felt the need to share that one - lovely piece of work - I might pay money for it myself - I feel a Japanese influence, Shibusa inspired calligraphy perhaps

The framing isn't very imaginative and there's nothing to lead the eye. A lot of the highlights have been blown and detail lost in the shadows. I presume this was done with a number four brush due to the lack of sharpness but it lends itself to a dreamy OOF effect that works well.
I got Smeggy's spirit level and found the framing to be a degree out but some may like that jaunty angle. Haha

That's really good...much better than I could have done. Initially, reading your sentence John, I thought it was your daughter that had painted a picture of your venerable old Pentax 'Paul Jones'...well each to their own and all that..then i re-read it and realised what you meant..well it is getting a bit late..

Excellent picture ... but John R's scanner needs some work and calibration - the distortion is awful!

It does actually look like the type of cartoon representation ad agencies and graphic artists produce when they don't want to seem too serious.
