Pentax is on the list of exhibitors for the Focus on Imaging Exhibition at Birmingham, in March 2012. Well done Pentax.

Canon and Olympus are currently absent from the list.

Canon were absent last year .. Olympus probably can't afford it as they gave away all their money.

Olympus might be in a Japanese jail.

Where are Pentax?? I just had a look at the exhibitors list on the website and pentax appear to be absent?

I was putting off buying a new lens until then as I got such a good deal on the K5 last year!

Seems to have been a turn around since November - Canon and Olympus now on the list and Pentax off it.

Obviously they don't want to be quizzed about the K-r and K-5 being discontinued

Well that's it then .. Nikon have bought Pentax/Ricoh and are making the new D4 compatible with the K-mount.

Also on that page I counted 10 (yes 10!) photos that look like they were taken by a drunk.....ie: leaning to the left.

Oh I forgot ....that's trendy isn't it

Maybe they were relying on a K5 level .

Fuji's going to be there, hopefully with the new X-pro or X-1 or whatever.

When you get to the main FOI 2012 website page (after the into), it looks like an advert for Nikon, even the menu is in the Nikon colours!

Its very reassuring for us that Pentax won't be there. It just means that they're (Ricoh) focusing more on making 2012 the year where everyone will want a Pentax camera. Right? I hope!
