Peak District January Day Out

Ok I’ll kick off with some thoughts on venues, obviously we may need to tweak plans nearer the time depending on weather. I’ve restricted to White Peak destinations to suit Steve F.

Lathkill dale. Chrome Hill. Winnats Pass. Cheedale (includes Millers dale, Monsal head etc). Dovedale is lovely but can get rammed with tourists. Chatsworth of course, if you like your landscapes arranged rather than wild.

Villages and towns we have the likes of Bakewell and Eyam, Ashford in the Water is very pretty.

Any other ideas? I don’t mind where we go..

Please, can someone tell me what is happening?
Every day I get an email telling me there has been a new post to this discussion and every day I find there is noting new. The last post has been Puma's since before Xmas.
BTW, what is happening with the proposed trip?

Neither for me I am afraid, I am doing sound effects for the Next theatre production, so the next two weekends are out.
However the next local meet I would be interested in.

OK I'm still planning to come on this. Forecast not the best, but should be some dry spells and the odd patch of sun. But if there's going to be 100% cloud cover I'm not bothering getting to top of Mam Tor for dawn!
