Did you use polarizing filter?

No filters, it`s handheld with me almost on my knees, was wondering about the stones in the water, do they add or detract from the image?

This is one of my favourites spots.

I like the photo but I must admit it is challenging to look at with the ice, reflection and rocks. Is that ice on the reflection? It looks just like a water mark.

I might have put Pavey Ark more to the left and had the fells lead into it but that is just a personal choice.

I think here polarizing filter would help, I think that the stones you can see through the water are bit distracting. CPL would help you eliminate them.
