Taken through a plastic canopy and it being 1/6th of the original frame of a 6mp camera I'm not at all surprised, My son wanted to know why I took the istD up and not the K5, my answer was simple, "What if I had crashed"Hope you enjoyed the flight! Shame the picture is a bit blurred, you'll have to go up again and take another one!
And yes it was a birthday pressie, an hours lesson, I was a little cautious banking the plane but I discovered later I need'nt have worried, the instructor almost stood it on its wing end when lining up for the runway

Why thank you HG, but your almost three months late the flight was booked a lot earlier but had to be canceled due to bad weather, yesterday was perfect though, very little wind to buffet me about and great views.
We should wish you 'happy birthday' then, and many more of them.

Hi Alan.
That’s reminded me.
An ex work mate of mine, obtained his private pilots licence, despite having only one eye, (lost one in an accident at school). If asked if it was a problem with just the one eye, his stock answer was, no it’s a big advantage, when landing, and we get below the level that the altimeter is effective, I can hold my false eye out at arms length, and see exactly how far of the ground we are.
Not the greatest boost of confidence, if you was going up with him.
But have been told that he is a good pilot.
Take care.
