Optio S40 downloading to PC

Just bought this very cool camera but can't download images using the supplied software. I installed SW and connected camera via USB. My computer sees camera but keeps telling me "Parameters are incorrect" when it looks at the camera/SIM. Strange because it works perfectly on my girlfriend's PC. Any ideas? Thank you. Mike

My preference is for using a card reader and not bothering with the camera software at all. I suppose the only exception to this will be if I needed to use a camera RAW seting, and there is no facility in Photoshop 7 for me to handle such files.
