Optio 33L

"+ years after buying this, I turned it on - and just get a fuzzy black screen. It won't allow me to take pics. I have version 1.0 firmware. Set up access (+ access to all other files inc. stored pics on memory cards works).

I tried reset to factory settings - just froze. I tried Pentax site for firmware update - the only + closest similar updates I could find are for optio 33 or 330

Does anyone know:

a.. how to fix this problem?

b.. where + how I can access an upgrade to 33L?

c.. if I downlaod 330 or 33 firmware, will this damage my camera?

d.. is my camera dead / irrepairable?
