ESII Fault

Hi
the mirror does not release
any suggestion about where i should get the camera to repair?

The ES and ESII are not the most reliable cameras, and spares could be very difficult to find. If you are in the UK rey AsahiPhoto and Harrow Technical, if you are elsewhere try phoining around the repair houses local to you.

Alternatively, look out for a replacement camera on eBay, which might be a good option.

If you mean that the mirror stays up after the picture has been taken, It should be possible to get it repaired. I would give Robin at Harrow technical a ring to discuss. The mechanics of the ES and ESII are relatively good and reliable as they are similar to the the Spots. However, the circuit boards especially in the early ES's are very unreliable and generally there are no spares. Fortunately this tends to only affect the metering and Auto operation.

Yes i live in UK
Yes i mean the mirror stays up, it's not locked up but i can't see from the viewfinder and It doesn't go down when i take the pic
