Ahh so you added in the light in the top left then, Nice effect but I think thats whats making the pic look odd to me, Obviously the "light" is in the top left corner but there are bits highlighted faceing away from the light.

Still it looks nice so what the hell lol

Emma, I like to see shots of flowers in B&W, its a very worthy medium.

I jus' feel that the image is a little too busy and the tones are not all there. I don't see any strong blacks, or whites for that matter.
Also, the fake sunray is somethin' to be avoided really IMO.

There maybe a good crop of this image on offer that may work, not sure whether the sharpness will hold up though.
Maybe you could try another shot up close next time.

One thing I do note though is that those flowers produce some very nice tones in B&W.

Regards.

I've tried a 4/3 crop in this part of the photo 'cos I like the balance of the stamens in it, and i've manipulated the tones a little.

Thanks Emma.

I agree. I never tire of London. It is gonna' be gettin' even more interestin'in the near future, what with the new buildings that are bein' constructed in the city and for the Olympics.

I love the city!

I'm happy you liked the crop.
