Welcome. If you have half as much fun and learn a tenth as much as I have then...well, you know what I mean. You've chosen very well. This site ticks all the right boxes.
Pentax people are the nicest people!
Best wishes,
Andrew
P.S. Oh dear. I see there's no point in warning you about the acquisition of manual focus prime lenses. You're already smitten! (I'd love a Miranda 24mm, but the prices on evil-bay are mental!)

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll like it here!
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.
Apparently.

My wife and I have had a K10d for a few years, but only had a sigma 18-200mm zoom lens on it, and it never really grabbed me. I got to thinking that maybe it wasn't the camera I disliked, but rather the lens.
Well now, I did a very quick impulse buy from the bay of a 50mm Auto Chinon f1.7 and I now know it was the lens! Wow, what a difference! This realization has given me a horrid case of LBA (lens buying addiction)! In the past month my collection has grown to:
Primes:
24mm Miranda f2.8
50mm Auto Chinon f1.7
50mm FA50 f1.4
135mm SMC Pentax f3.5
500mm Tamron SP 55BB mirror lens
Zoom:
Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3
The FA50 f1.4 is my only autofocus acquisition and I was real close to pulling the trigger on a Pentax A-50mm f1.2, but its was too hard for me to rationalize paying 2x the price of the FA50 for a 10 year old manual focus lens. Anyways, just wanted to say hai all! Hope that I've not come across as too crazy
