I think you'll find the new Pentax to be a medium format camera, there are no Pentax DSLRs for the foreseeable future, not the ones were are after anyway.

The 645D is announced to come in 2010 so don't think that's it.

Yes there is, and it sounds to be a goody too. More and more of those in the know are dropping hints about it. Someone I know "in the trade" can't divulge much but he is excited by it.

I'm still in discussion with the great people at Pentax on this point. I ordered the first batch when they were announced a long time ago. Since then there have been a few price increases, so when the first batch goes they will cost me more which equals a higher selling price.

So far, I was able to find three blurry pictures of the new camera, but when I try to copy the address, I can't get it too work. I guess by now, most of you know I'm not a computer guru . I also saw something about a new Pentax on a Portuguese website. So, it looks like orchestrated leaks to bring some interest up before an official release. My Pentax Canada connection won't return my calls or answer my e-mail, so I guess he knows something, but doesn't want to say anything.

There are 11 icons on that dial - 10 of which correspond to the K10D/K20D. Is the one on the right of the green button a Movie Camera icon perhaps?
