I can't see the point of getting a K-7.
If you use a second body a lot then I think you soon will unless you want to fork out for 2 K-5s.
Why? I intend on using my K20D as the second body. I'll probably end up selling the K10D to put towards another lens.

I kept a K10D as a second to the K-7 and then that went and I bought the K-5 but the K10D is just so different ergenomically that I hardly used it.
... but if you mean for differences in ergonomic reasons then that's not something I've considered will be problem for myself. I've always used multiple tools in the past and just learned the differences.

I said that myself ... but if you can then all well and good.

Personally once I started using the K-7/K-5 body all the time I just couldn't see myself going back to the K10D/K20D .. the new bodies are that good.

I'll happily admit it if I end up yearning for two k-5s

Frankly, if that's the case I'll sell more stuff and get a second K-5. Then I'll have equal performance on both bodies.

Just checked SRS and a new K-5 is £899 with the January cashback.

Initially I told myself I would wait until the K-5 dropped below £900, but I'm increasingly getting impatient for one so I will probably get one at a higer proice but get it sooner.

Ha, I'm just wondering whether it's worth a certain amount of hassle for the cashback.. as I'm not a UK resident... yeah, OK, I could get it paid for via the UK, but still. Bah humbug.
OTOH, the saving is potentially significant.

Thanks all, I think that I'll sit on my hands for the time being.
See what crops up in the used market.

Buying used is often a sensible move if you're unsure. You can always flog it on when the temptation to get a K-5 gets too strong!

On order with hours to spare

£21 is £21. buy me a couple of spare batteries. Talking of which better order some, so I can have a charged one ready for when it arrives.

Fixed that Mike....Last thing I wanted was for people to have to think. Time enough for that after the holidays
