Welcome I've only been on here a very short time. I recentley decided I wanted to go back to a SLR, the last one I had was for my 21st some 36yrs ago. I did some extensive researching but had more or less decided that it was to be a Pentax. It was the camera I dreamt of as a young man and I have had a Pentax compact for the past 7 years that has been reliable despite some unwarrented abuse. I eventually got the K-x twin lens kit. No complaints so far I'm enjoying learning to use it. Its worth a look at although it looks like its going to be superseeded by the K-r. Although Ican't see that much difference in the specifications.
Have a good look through this forum there is a wealth of experience

I'm Costantino from Italy.
I'm looking for my first DSLR but I already know it will be a Pentax.
I'm just looking around to understand what may be the best product that will fit my expectations and will allow me to understand photography.
