There was some debate over whether it actually is a Pentax. Some think it doesn't say Pentax on the front.

What should it tell then. I looks like Pentax to me. And the writing on the dials/buttons is the same as for the rest of the Pentax cameras.

Yep it looks like it says Pentax. It's a Pentax lens. It's the same shape and has the strap lugs of the blurry photos and looks like a smaller body than the km. Which is good for me!
Not quite a digital MX but heading in the right direction.

Can't wait to find out what it will do.

I don't think the body is really smaller than the K-m.
If you look at the compilation it looks like it is smaller than the K20D. I suspect it to be somewhere in between the K-m and the K20D. Maybe something like the DS which is a little bigger then the K-m if I'm right.

I sure hope that they don't shrink the camera to much though! Weight helps stability to some extent and to me the K20D with Grip and 2 batteries is a nice weight which helps stabilize the camera when holding it.

I sure hope that they allso introduce a grip for it otherwise it will be useless to a lot of people. I allways thought that a grip wouldn't make much of a difference but since I got the grip for my K20D I came to realise that it makes a world of difference. The body is easier to hold because of the bigger size and the ergonomics get a boost as well.

My guess is that the K200D replacement is a lot closer to K20D than K200D in concept and that the K20D replacement will be a major upgrade. I say this because the two buttons behind the shutter dial are similar to those on the K200D, yet the stap lugs appear quite professional....

My mouth is watering with anticipation
