MZ50 film removal

Any ideas how to get a half used film out of an MZ50? I assume the auto rewind will send the leader back into the cassette. If I take it into a darkroom will the wind-on spool rotate to let me pull the film out? Answers on a..., well on here actually. :D Thanks, Kris.

Somewhat belated update. Thanks to John's generousity I rewound the film then retrieved the film leader with his kindly donated gizmo. Now to load the roll into something better and finish the film.

Many thanks everybody, and especially John. Ektar100 is too expensive to waste.
