Mysterious Hole

Was looking at a photo of the inside of a 135mm "A" pentax lens and there appears to be a hole in the flat frame above the aperture blades is this normal in this lens? Is seems partly hidden when lens is wide open but can be seen fully when closed down.

Lens worm. I'd get it treated asap
