Iam never discouraged Ken just fed up with others that get involved in some thing they shouldn't I get over 200 emails a week from u tube people asking me to help them and saying thank you for the videos I do, so that can never discourage me.
but when I post on this site to help some here as iam a Pentax user for some reason an augment starts now my be its green eye or they are just being bloody minded I have a no idea?

But iam fed up with it as I really don't under stand if we all are on this site to help why does this happen ???????? I really would like to know that ??
I do think that that's why a lot of the best photographers have left the site for this reason and has and could make the site go down hill fast with all this.
as a paying member to this site should be able to post and get none of this crap on here? I don't think I will be renewing my member ship next year when it runs out.
but i will say I will not put any more videos on Pentax users again.
Shaun, lighten up old chum. It's one single thumbs down on YT. If you're going to let things like that discourage you, you might as well throw in the towel right now. Just keep doing what you're doing. 'Haterz gonna hate' so rise above it and don't get drawn into creating these arguments

Apologies in advance if my analysis is wrong:

So you've removed a video from Youtube and vowed to not link to any more of your Youtube videos on Pentax User, because one, yes one, member here as for some very bizarre reason decided to attribute a single thumbs down to a member of Pentax User?

This post ...

... is just poking some undeserved prejudicial personal attack at Pentax user members and no reflection on your video itself. I can't see why you removed it?

I have post lots of things on this site over the past two years and every time some one has started with some kind of augment over one thing or another and it just gets real boring and to be real host I taken the video off as well as I for got to do it in HD so iam redoing the video later to day and updating it as well but I do the videos to help beginners and those that don't know much about Photoshop so if it help then that's great but I really don't want to put a post on the site to get all this I also post it on others photography site with none of the augments they just like to see the videos and like the help?

so my question is to you would you put posts on this site and keep seeing people argue over your work like this ?

I can see where you are coming from Shaun, I don't think there is a single site/forum I am a member of where someone hasn't said something, at some time, that has annoyed me and made me wish I hadn't bothered, especially if I was simply trying to help.

That said, you have to take it with a pinch of salt. Some people are just bloody minded and like to wind others up, but most of the time it's simply poor wording due to typing too fast on a mobile, predictive text, a 12 year old pretending to be an adult or simply poor standards of english and the point gets misconstrued. I am sure that is the case here. If Richard had said that "it's a shame someone has given thumbs down - hope it wasn't someone on here as it's a really helpful video“ then there wouldn't be an issue. It took me a few attempts to work out what he was saying.

I'm sure I'm not alone in appreciating your efforts.

Thanks for putting it back on Shaun. Missed it first time round. I found your voice over very good, relaxing but not boring. Process similar to what I do. Just wondered that when I have my raw image in Elements there is an option to sharpen it then with the raw image at the same time as doing the other adjustments on the raw. Should I wait till the end and just sharpen the resultant jpg?
