Frogfish I would agree partially, I myself prefer it this way as you described on one hand, on the other hand I do like interesting pictures they may have bits which I would prefer to not see, but as long as their presence doesn't cross my internal acceptance level I will enjoy the picture and story it shows, hence such takes here, also I never said these are pictures of wild animals in their natural environment which was never soiled by man's hand. No rotten veggies (at least from me), it is good to exchange opinions and I'm not afraid of criticism.

I've almost stopped snapping birds on feeders or tables, or where bait is visible, but I still do it if something unusual (for me) comes along.

The Jay is a good example as I have yet to capture one, so if one landed on a table full of nuts I wouldn't hesitate

If the fences and posts are yours then you can always drill a hole in them to hide the bait, how many people have drilled a hole in a fork handle for the classic Robin shot You could also try observing the birds behaviour, they will often land in a nearby tree before flitting to the bait, look for droppings on branches for clues as to regular perches and catch them there.
