I listen to music most of the time whilst on the computer, at the moment it is the Gaslight Anthem album The '59 Sound.

Incidentally I think music can complement photography very well, as can spoken word. I normally like the audio slideshows on the BBC News in pictures section a lot, I think it works most of the time.

Me? I rarely play music while on the PC, or while doing anything else that requires concentration, I just play it while driving
Point taken.

I have update my sound system of the PC 2 weeks ago.
Bought a ASUS Xonar Essence and AKG K702 headphones
So i'm currently listening to a lot of music.

Strangely, I didn't know you were a fan of The Pixies, dr. They are my favourite band of all time.

Music doesn't distract me at all, quite the opposite, actually. I even used to play music whilst revising for exams. I find it helps.

Currently, whilst editing photos, I've been listening to Buke and Gass.

At the moment, though not editing photos, I'm watching Man City thrash Wigan.

R.E.M. for me, current favourite is the '39 songs' live album. It's not on the PC though, that's not loud enough! It's blasting out through my Onkyo Amp and Tannoy speakers

David,

I play all music on my PC through my hi-fi system. No problem!

I used to do this too, but now it's on a hard drive on a Popcorn Hour Media Player connected straight into my Amp, so I can listen without the PC switched on!

Jazz funk - all the time. Incognito at the moment.

Music is a must, particular helps waiting for Adobe to catch up.

Enclosed Seinnheiser headphones are a must though.

I don't believe the emotion of any tune should interfere with the digital art you are creating as that process will have started long before you got to the machine.

Think last weeks album cover competition was one of the best for a while, however was disappointed if it was any indication of the musical tastes of the membership.
