More B&W

Does it count as a landscape though? I think it does... Too late for the comp, but I'm entering it in the monthly work challenge which had the same topic.

A very good Pictorial treatment: the grain adds to it and the dark tones are rich. If your name was Ansel Adams you would get $3,000 at least - but as it's you people would begruge paying £4-50 for a 10x8", same as they do for my reprints !

Now how would we know, Peter, we haven't seen your reprints....

I'm in a black and white mood myself at the moment and trying them out on EPZ over a few days.

I like ThePup's picture very much, especially the grainy sky. There's a graphic quality to monochrome that colour can totally spoil. In the case of this picture I think colour would definitely spoil it. Well done.

Its a very good shot Pup and a typical Aussie street scene with the cocus palms in the front yard and the big ghost gum out on the street. It could be any street in Australia And i like the effect.

The grain/noise wasn't actually intentional, it came about (I think) because of the higher ISO (Shot taken after sunset) and post processing, and me not knowing how, or if, I could remove it! In the end I liked the effect though.

It's almost like grainy film! Imagine that
