Monthly Competition #4: RGB
Today I was visiting a neighbouring Province (Nova Scotia), and came upon a hugh mural that ran the lengh of the Canadian National Train Station, which was at least a city block. Without knowing what the Doc was going to chose today, I decided to take several photos of the incredible colours that were displayed. As luck would have it....colours were this months theme.

Colours are the first thing we learn, before shapes or ABCs. So I chose a "Classroom" motif for this presentation. (plus the subjects were easily available

Looking at the full on mural, you have done very well to present these as bright, cheery scenes. I think the vignettes selected are well composed with nicely chosen angles - face on might have looked a bit documentary. The framing emphasises the material. The third one looks slightly soft in comparison with the first two which I think are very strong shots.
RPLSF
Excellent idea and I can see these as posters for a child's bedroom. The jaunty framing is a good way of adding interest. There are some jaggies visible but this could be down to the resizing. I like the green spikey ball, which I think would make a good shot in its own right.
Frogherder
Good, vivid colours. The forced decision to bring these indoors was a good result as the backgrounds selected work very harmoniously with the flowers. I do find the images a little soft and I might have arranged the flowers in the first two either more uniformly to the edge of the frame as in three or more centred so that bits weren't cut off.

An unusual subject choice but it works very well. I like the square crops and how you've turned them into stamps. I would have preferred seeing them larger but nevertheless the image quality is evident. Metallic surfaces are never easy but I think you've nailed it here. I would have rotated the second one 90 degrees right to a non-gravity defying position.
Winner: Alexfilipov and the decision as to whether to carry on now rests with you. Thanks to all entrants.

Thanyou Dr.Orloff for the comments, on a rather disappointing turnout. I too would like to see this comp go on, but understand that if it does, more participation is needed. It is nice to have a challange.

Are those bullets actually coloured, if so I can rib a friend of mine that's in the Paras even more than I usually do (blue lipsticks indeed

Alternatively (and more like the question I actually want to ask) how was the blue colour added and specifically in the slightly varying shades over the area covered. Whenever I try things like that I finish up with a daub more resembling that of a primary school art class

Bernard

I will continue the competition, just need some time to think of a subject - just got back from the hospital with my wife and my firstborn son

@Frogherder: the bullets are actually colored, it's not post-processing.
@Tozza27:wish you a quick recovery!

I'm looking for three photos shot within the timeframe of the competition, exif required.
The theme is RGB, the pure light primary colours. I'm looking for one red themed image, one green and one blue.
Hope this gives you an excuse to go out shooting.
You can see some of my photos here if you are so inclined
