Mars and the Moon

Well, Mars has indeed scooted away from the Moon - I'd need a 12 mm lens to get both in frame.
I tried HDR on the Moon and nearby houses, but this doesn't work very well (at least with the software that I have).
Maybe the only way to get two such differently bright objects together in one shot will be in Photoshop.

Well I tried everything I know and they were all rubbish so I'm going to book a flight with Richard Branson for the next space flight to see if I can get a better image of the moon,

I did try this on Friday night (with limited time, so in a big hurry) but couldn't seem to get a high enough range with the cameras bracketing settings. Should be easy enough to do in manual mode, though.
I might have another try tonight, if the sky is clear and if Mars hasn't stalked off too far from the Moon.
