Well folks I'm always criticising everyone elses images so heres a chance to get your own back

Took advantage of the light today and slapped on the Bigma (still only shooting at f6.7 though) God this beast EATS light.
Drove down to Fairburn Ings (my local RSPB reserve, local been 20mins away) got to my usual haunt and waited for the newly arrived Bramblings, waited about 2 hours in fact I did manage to get a few unprintable shots but did manage a few other goodies while waiting, this is one of them, and NO I didnt put superglue on the branch, yes I know I may have considered it but this little darling just sat and posed

I will get a decent shot of a Brambling (eventually) but heres a blue tit to put you on

Nice blue tit! I've got a pair at the moment but they always get all shy when the camera comes out - I'd love to get a nice sharp shot like that but my blackbirds are the only ones that hang around and pose for me as a rule...

My garden was visited by a pair of bramblings on Sunday; they stayed for about an hour (presumably on their way north) and gorged on sunflower seeds. I managed to reel off about 80 shots but it was through double glazing with the Tamron 70-300 so none were exactly exhibition standard.

That's a lovely tit shot. It just how well the bigma can perform even if light is a problem.

Hmm, bramblings, I'll have to look out for them.

Nice shot Spidey! How did you get it to pose like that - the ones round here don't stay still for a second.
I'd never heard of a Brambling I must confess - but seeing the photo I realise I see them all the time in winter, in my garden and in the local woods.
It is called a Keep in Dutch.

I hate to be hypercritical of what is a very lovely shot of a Blue Tit, but I find myself wishing the focus was on his face rather than his near side. These little guys are hard to catch though, so well done!
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

Everything's right about this shot.

For me that would be one-in-a-million.

Literally!

Congrats!
