From the title I had visions of a dressed duck in a roasting pan ...
If you'll forgive me it doesn't look terribly sharp but using a 200 lens plus TC hand held will be a recipe for shake I'd have thought. If you weren't really using the TC then take it off and give the lens a chance! More glass = less sharp
What are the odd orange areas?

Hi Mike,
The orange areas are reflections of other ducks etc that where nearby.
I had the TC on to try it out, recent purchase and getting used to it.
Thanks for your comments about " More glass = less sharp " this will help with my learning curve.

I'd also consider pushing the luminosity curve to the left at the bottom to bring out more detail on the head - the eye is nearly lost.

I don't see how those orange areas can be reflections, they look more like out of focus branches in the foreground.
