Hi Will, there appears to be 3 different ones, Magnifier-M, Magnifier-F and Magnifier-FB, I'm willing to bet there is not a lot of difference between them all.
From the official Pentax web site, its a PDF so you will nead Acrobat Reader installed to view it.

All of the F series magnifiers have been discontinued.
I managed to find an FB NIB at an old camera outlet.
Fits my DS and my film bodies.

Hi All,
The Magnifier FB inc Case is still a current and available product from Pentax UK. The dealer just has to order it using part number 30990. The price is around £49.99.
Regards,
Mike.

Mike - you wouldn't happen to have a complete list available (online or otherwise) of all the current Pentax items that are available and their respective RRP's. I know the main site here used to have such a list but that was removed sometime ago...
I know I for one would be very interested to see what lovely kit we might want to part our hard-earned folding stuff on...
Anything you can do would be very useful.

Hi Will,
Yes I do. Let me know where to email it....
It is very extensive and includes 67 and 645 as well as compacts, binos and spotting scopes, but at least you know you're getting the lot!!!

The R series total stations with auto focus telescopes always struck me as a good idea. I'd rather have an auto focus telescope than auto target tracking any day of the week.

Hi Mongoose,
Different division for Survey gear I'm afraid - as for telescopes, we don't really offer them as a matter of course in the UK due to prohibitively long lead times and a Return to Japan service policy!
...but photographic - I'm your man!

No problems Mike, I was just kidding anyway, I used to use a lot of Leica and Trimble total stations in my old job as a Survey assistant but was always a bit jealous of Pentax ones with AF. For some reason no other company seems to think AF is a good thing to put on a total station.

If Pentax UK has any, better order them.
I got an e-mail from Pentax that stated they had been discontinued. B&H also now states that on their site.
I had been trying to get one for 2 months with no luck.

Have sent you a pm with my e-mail address...
I have also asked if you mind if I scan the list and post it as a jpg so that other forum users can have a look without you having to resort to multiple e-mails?
Cheers!

Hi Chris - will pm you in the next day or so with a small list of small bits that I need ordering. Proper bayonet caps and the like to replace the cheapo push on version that YOU supplied with my FA 50mm 1.4!
Cheers!

I think this topic deserves a thread on it's own, never knew this accessory existed, others might be quite interested in keeping an eye open for another too.
I asked a question earlier in another thread regarding this item I picked up on ebay today....
Does anybody have any info, looks like it fits to the view finder but what body, 645?
Hi McBrian,
Just been going through my box of nick-nacks etc today. I have something very similar which is a finder magnifier-M to aid critical focussing on all Pentax 35mm cameras since the (original!) K series...
Looks like you may have the 645 version...?
Brian.
