Hi,
Yes it is, and from memory it's about £25-£29.
I haven't got a list to hand, but any dealer should be able to order one for you.
I'll post the part number when I can.
Regards,
Mike.

smc,
I think you can buy it through the Pentax User Club (check in the magazine). Er, you are a member, right? Just learn the handshake, roll up your trouser leg and bare a nipple....

Proper bayonet caps and the like to replace the cheapo push on version that YOU supplied with my FA 50mm 1.4!
Did the same to me! Sounds like SRS staff are pocketing the proper caps that Pentax would obviously be generous enough to give us! Damn, there's no 'strokey-chin' smiley Proper bayonet caps and the like to replace the cheapo push on version that YOU supplied with my FA 50mm 1.4!
So has anyone used one of these eyepieces (FB or the O-Mthingy)? Make much of a difference? I'm currently putting contact lenses in for extended use with the K100d. I did think about Katz Eye screens, but then I thought about the price (and then I thought about making a toasted cheese sandwich, but that's less relevant). If an eyepiece makes manual focus easier it'd be well worth £30, which otherwise would only get me a small coffee or a bus halfway down the road, grumble grumble grumble.
Do you know where your towel is?

Eyepiece magnifiers, like the M, A or FB, enlarge the central portion of the frame for critical manual focussing. They protrude from the eyepiece by an inch or so, so you don't want to leave them installed for general use So has anyone used one of these eyepieces (FB or the O-Mthingy)? Make much of a difference? I have the M version and although 25 years old works fine on the new cameras!
The O-Mthingy, magnifies the whole frame and gives you a larger view in the eyepiece. As I said earlier, I haven't got mine yet , but I have been using the Nikon DK-21M which is very similar (it's a tight fit, but it does fit without damaging anything). I haven't found that it helps manual focussing much though.
I've also got the Katz-eye screen and installing it solved all my manual focus issues

I have a split image screen together with a Nikon magnifier like Ruben - both seem to help. The enlarged image in the viewfinder makes the istDS feel like an old M series camera when looking through the viewfinder. I am slightly worried about the tight fit of the Nikon, hence the enquiry about the Pentax version. Come on SRS

It sounds like the best thing would be a Katz Eye, a magnifier... and an exchange of my K100d for a K10d.
New question: any advice on successful bank robbery?

You can get cut down split image screen for less than £20 on the usual auction site. Likewise for the Nikon finder (Pentax model is a bit more).

We will be contacting people that have ordered them to confirm card details etc. If anyone else wants one, give me a ring or mail.
Thanks,
Chris
