1-6. I thought I'd try my DA 18-135mm for some street photography, all with K3.
7. Q7 with 02 Standard lens

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

Thanks Carl, not something I do a lot of really street photography, must say I quite enjoyed it though.
I might try more candid shots at this weekends Ulverston Dickensian Festival.

What a great set of pictures. That much maligned lens looks to be very capable.
Best wishes,

Andrew

I think it's a cracking lens, £269.99 on Amazon at the moment, bargain !!!
Really is a good all rounder, and I've got a few DA* and Ltds to compare it to.

Good set. I like the conversion. Could you give details of how you processed them please?

Nothing very technical really Steve, mainly done by eye.

1 - Imported into LR5
2 - Applied Lightroom B&W Preset - B&W Look 5
3 - Tweeked exposure, contrast, shadows and highlights by eye
4 - Selective dodging & burning with brush tool
5 - Slight vignette added with LR radial filter

Nice shots, sir. We're going there in February for the second year running. A very photogenic place.

Looks more like you've been doing street shots for years! I think they're all great and I agree that the editing is very sympathetic, so a good job all round! I suppose there's plenty of vibrant colour to see as well, but I imagine the backgrounds could be quite distracting in colour .. Did that influence your choice for mono?

Not really I just tried them in B&W and thought they looked better, the colour didn't really add anything to the images.
I watched a TV programme about some old guy doing street photography in B&W and thought they looked really good and just thought I'd give it a go some time.
