macro flash

hi, recently took delivery of my pentax 100mm macro lens, ive become hooked on insects.
can anyone recommend a decent 49mm macro ring flash....something not too expensive (max £100)

Look no further than a Viltrox JY-670 for £55.

It's totally manual but absolutely fantastic value, doesn't matter if you get the Nikon or Canon version as the unit has the single centre pin only.

Whilst ring flash can be an excellent way of illuminating macro subjects and producing shadowless light, the flash can cause ring shaped reflections on the bodies of some insects. I have found using a conventional flash off camera and extension cord a better way especially if a light box is used to diffuse the light. Just a thought

I can vouch for the viltrox, its a well built bit of kit. I love mine!!
