It's much better optimised. The old site was slow to load further no matter what your connection speed.

I'll enjoy it more when there's a Pentax sale on as in the USA

They do need to get their pricing sorted though, They have the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 listed at £599 on the srs site, but on their ebay site for the very same lens it's £499, quite a big difference and a bit unfair I would say if you don't do ebay.

Also Chris was always updating on here with offers or anything new, but it's strange no word from him or srs for a while, not even to mention the new website.

Agree about the need for the same prices...there are many Pentax related prices of theirs which are substantially cheaper on ebay than via their own shop site.

Hi all,

Thanks for all of the positive comments regarding the new website.

It really has been a labour of love and has taken us over a year from start to finish!

This is one of the reasons that I've been a little quiet on here - many apologies for this and I promise I'll be around more and there will be more offers very, very soon!

Pricing is an issue which I am addressing. There are reasons which I cannot go into why some pricing is different on Ebay, but once our next project, our stock live till system, goes live, this will be sorted out and pricing parity will be the norm!

personally not a fan, i actually thought i was on one of the "fake / grey import" HK based website for a minute and had to double check the URL.
I liked the menu of clicking straight away on the K3 or K50 and seeing all the bundle options for that specific camera. I'll probably get used to it though.

No better or worse than the old one.

But techies love to mess about with things like this. It keeps them off the streets and prevents them from seeing what daylight looks like. So they're happy.
