Let's see if Mark's insurance will do anything. If not I'd be willing to drink a couple less pints this week! If 50 of us chipped in a fiver each that isn't far off a used K10D!

I'd also be willing to lend out a lens or two if that's any use. Nothing spectacular unfortunately, just an 18-55 DA-L which I recently bought in the classifieds here for those rare occasions I shoot in the rain, and perhaps a tele that I don't use often, a Pentax M 135mm for instance.

I sympathise, it is the sort of thing I have been known to do. I left my bag on a train once (I got it back although mysteriously my ME Super had ceased to work and needed repair) and on another occasion I left it under a table in a restaurant in Sighisoara. Luckily it was still there when I ran back. My last cock-up was just last year when I left my ES on the back of a chair in a pizza place near the Barbican. A staff member had handed it in so I got that back too.

My only real disaster was when I left my ipod and noise cancelling headphones on an internal flight in the US. Never saw those again which was a double shame as both were presents from my girlfriend, and the ipod was a custom red one with "Krisravita" printed on the back.

Scatterbrained? Me... never...

Just discovered we didn't opt for contents cover cos it cost too much! (probably didn't have anything valuable at the time), So bang goes the silver lining. Just relying on the finder not becoming the keeper

There were a bunch of kids getting drunk in the park later that evening, so I'm trying to track them down. They could still be wondering how to offload it, or whether to... I need to get the word out to them somehow. tried facebook...

Feel for you, I'd be gutted if this happened to me, really really nice to see all the good gestures coming out on this forum. To add to that I've got a 2 or 3 lenses that you could loan till you get back on your feet. Let us know.

I felt gutted when i read of your loss! I just hope it all turns up safe and sound,
I always used to photograph my Phone and E-Mail address onto every Memory Card in a low quality JPEG and then lock it but since buying my K7 i just never got around to it! So guess what i am doing first thing in the morning!
I will also be keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!
