Looking to buy another DSLR

I think if you want a good quality body to "grow" with you will be hard pressed to beat a K5II/s, it would save you a heap of cash over the K3 and you could get an 18-135mm "Kit" then and maybe take advantage of a cheap 35/50mm fast DA prime for the same price, as the K3, those two would prettty much see you thru any Photography Course on their own, you can then use your Manual kit for personal use and special projects within your course because you understand those lenses better (Well, better than I do anyway:shock K5's are not the best at fast action, look it up around here it's been done to death but for the money they are not all that bad just not the same as CaNikon. If you like the feel of your current Pentax you'll likely enjoy the feel of a higher grade one like the K5/K3 but Blythman has sage advice, go to a Camera shop see what deals are available, it's the right time of year for it and hold the Canons/Nikons and Sony's and see how you feel about them. You now have the chance to get yourself into a system proper it is very wise to spend some quality time at your lesiure over the holiday period aquanting yourself with each's differeing way of doing things. There may be a dealbreaker/maker in there somewhere from one manufacturer over another, I know it's a Pentax forum but it would not be fair or proper to try to force my opinion (Pentax) on you, your requirements are your own and it's very important you get the Camera that you feel you want to learn with and not just that, that everyone tells you to get. It would be interesting and imformative to have an idea of the course material however but for most course work an advanced APSC DSLR of the Pentax K30/50/Canon 700D/Nikon D5300 ilk, would easily do. If you want to keep it/learn it/experiment with it more, then the Nikon D7100/Canon60/70D/Pentax K5II/IIs level would certainly more than suffice.
In fact you could easily be the envy of your classmates!
