Looking for a sigma 70-200mm

Hello there

I am mostly doing concert shots with my K10D, and I have been using good primes but changing lenses is a bore in a concert setting.
So bottom line I need something like 70-210mm, 80-200, or even 100-300mm with a constant aperture. 2.8 would be great but 4 would do , I guess.
Pentax, Tamron or Sigma, AF is not necessary, A is def wanted.

Ok I've made my mind: it will be a sigma 70-200 f2.8 non Macro.

Thing is, I am really broke, so if this could avoid hurting too much my wallet, I would appreciate!

2.8 is going to hurt the wallet! the 70-210/4A is a very good lens and you should be able to pick one up without too much hassle. Slightly slower, the 50-200 offerings from both Pentax and Samsung can be had at a reasonable price.

I've heard of a Tamron at 2.8 but haven't seen one already.
Is it like real expensive?

Tamron do a 2.8 70-200. It costs €675 in Holland. Sigma do a 4 100-300 but that is over €800, and their 2.8 120-300 is €2550 , but they don't do that in a Pentax fitting I think, they also have a 2.8 50-150, (€579) but again no Pentax fit .

The 70/80-200 F2.8's are a very good option (plus being a very useful lens generally) however you're probably going to hunt out second hand options from Tokina or Sigma and there aren't that many around.

Saw one on Eb&y - Pentax Mount. Major $$'s....even the N*kon version isnt that pricey.

You might try Ffordes - they have a manual focus Tokina 80-200 f2.8 for £99.
