local Car Rally (to me)

A couple of weeks ago i heard a load of loud car exhausts just outside my house and when i looked outside i could see there seemed to be a car rally about to start. I hadn't heard anything about it but as it was just about to start i grabbed my camera and legged it down to a corner they'd be passing. I think they were all taken with K5iis and Pentax F28mm f2.8.
The last two were where the rally car ended up in the ditch and knocked down the tog behind me and him walking away, i wanted to take a pic of him but the firefighter in me took over and so i helped him out. He was ok, a little bruised and the external flash was broken off his camera.

As always cc most welcome.

At first I thought it was a Ford Escort day out until I saw the stranded Peugeot. 1 to 5 are well "frozen in time" while No6 gives the sense of speed.

I love the low view point of number 4

Its great to see the old Esmonds looking so good

I have a few from New Brighton rally from month or so ago to process - hopefully soon - however rally GB passes by us next week (i think) so I may get a few more but probably not as good as this

Good action shots, 4 does it for me, you must have been in a ditch for that one!
C&C welcome.

All are good, but No2 is the winner for Me, like how the rear wheels can be seen spinning.
Very good set Mate, well done
One day you'll find, 10yrs have got behind you.

Thanks guys, i was in front of the ditch, and had to jump up on to it a couple of times as some cars misjudged the turn, the marshals weren't to happy with me but said nothing after the tog standing on the ditch was hit. i was probably a bit close but as i had the 28mm on i needed to be close.
Cheers

Nice shots you are either brave or crazy using the 28mm -

I have to be responsible these days as I take my 10 year old son with me so I tend to use longer focal lengths

Nice sets Derek, I like numbers 3 & 5 best (pesky red and white tape distracts me a little but other than cloning it out cannot be helped ).

Regards

George
