Out today trying the newly acquired 1.4 converter with pentax 300 f4

Agreed, very cute

Nice captures too Don, though I feel a tad soft in parts, cant decide if its the DoF or fron the converter, regardless of that I'd have been chuffed to bits had they been mine.

WOW!!! Brilliant images. My 2x Teleplus 7 element Converter is rubbish with long telephotos and robs images of all sharpness and detail. It is however excellent with my Sigma 50mm f2.8 Macro and turns out sharp images with this lens.

What make / model is your 1.4 Teleconverter?

Thanks all, I do find the combination hunts for focus in auto and the tripod is even more necessary.But I mostly use manual focus for this type of shot.
