Limestone pavement

You can't walk around Malham with a camera and not take photos of the grikes, which I think is the term for the gaps in the limestone. So to finish off this series ....

Nice use of low angles. If you go even lower, and into the gaps, you will find entire ecosystems living in them!

Great light and some dramatic skies.

Super as they stand but you can't tell me you haven't been tempted to try some contrasty mono conversions

Interesting suggestion, John - I did feel that they are largely dominated by the limestone and the sky, so no, I didn't try the conversion. However, since you mention it .... these two do seem to lend themselves to it and I like the way the light can be brought out on the rocks. Any good for you?

Yes, I think these 2 suit the conversion particularly well - the light gives an almost silvery sheen to those impressive rocks

I don't need to say keep 'em coming John because your current output clearly reflect the enjoyment you are getting from your photography

Well seen images of a beautiful landscape. I remember seeing the same type of rock formation out in Burren, Co. Clare, Ireland. Mysterious, even when explained. And there is indeed a whole ecosystem lurking within those cracks.
