like or hate K-5?

I think that robbiec's comment reveals the difference between the metering of the two cameras. The K20D is set slightly differently, and if you recall many complained that +EV adjustment was necessary to make the images lighter.
The K-5 delivers slightly brighter exposure, so presumably Pentax adapted it slightly in response. As a consequence, whereas I used the meter of the K20D as set I ise -0.3EV on the K-5.
If you find the K-5 colder, then use daylight or Cloudy as your WB settings and that should solve that.

Ergonomically I prefer the K20D over my K-5 and D3, that's the price I suppose we have to pay for 3" LCDs... A lot of the functions being accessed by the left thumb is something I do appreciate and the set out on my K20D is more intuitive than the Nikon's. I hope the forthcoming new top line Pentax goes back to K10/20D styling....or MZ-S or Z-1

I much prefer the K-5 ergonomics to the K20D.
If they go back to that styling then the K-5 really will be my last Pentax.

Re the SD card. I don't recommend you try this but mine was quite stiff to get out until one day when I WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION and put the SD card in upside down. Then had to pull out the card with a pair on long nosed pliers. It works perfectly and is easier to get out now.

I have a K100 ( bit skint just now Greece being in a bit of a crisis ) and I like the way the camera feels in my hand . I've never seen in the flesh as it were a K20 ,K7 or a K5 no pentax dealers here .If I ever get to upgrade what are the main changes to the layout of the newer models ? The left thumb comment by ilovesaabs is a bit strange to me as my left hand just cradles the lens , me right hand does all the work... jeff.. oh and the card removal on the K100 is fine you just push it and out it pops( but I very rarely take it out)

I used to shoot PEF with the K20D but now use DNG. I use Photoshop Elements mostly.Do you all shoot .PEN and processed in PPG?
I have Lightroom too, but still haven't got around to learning to use it properly.

i think i should make this clear. my dislike is on the side of landscape. i have not got my favorite Pentax green from my K-5, however, the skin tone from K-5 is much pleasant than K-20D. K20d exposure tends to be under, but K-5 is quite over. if you blow the details in the highlight, i can only recover about 1-2 EV. i think i may benefit from the K20d's underexposure. if you zoom in 100% or more, you may find the details of K20d's are more than K-5. K-5's image is quite smooth, which is good for portrait, but for landscape, i may favor K20d. i do not want to be too fussy about this, but i would like to prove this if you could have some spare time

Tend to agree with low ISO (sub 400) shots. Colours from the K20D in RAW just seem a bit richer / warmer. The K-5 is slightly colder, more digital. I think it's more the space between the door and the slot. The K5 is approx. 4mm while the K20 is 7mm
