It looks to me like they have located the PSU in the wrong place, it should normally be in the top left (as the picture is) leaving space at the bottom right for all sorts of bits n bobs.
Yes that would be normal, the stretched yellow PSU cables to the Mobo support this as well.

There's also an extension lead on the mains input

The power supply is in the 3.5 bays

I wonder how come the computer shop didn't notice that

Simplest solution is get a smaller qood quality power supply
fitted in the proper place and a new 3.5 drive in the 3.5 bay.

Looking at the inside of that case, there doesn't seem to be anywhere for the PSU to exhaust to, either at top left or bottom left.

So it probably isn't really feasible to relocate the PSU.

Choice of case is IMO the most important decision to make for a PC build. It makes *such* a difference to just about everything you have to do inside it.

Here's one I did... everything is accessible (except the memory, but I don't have to change that very often).

Looks like they put an auxiliary exhaust fan in the normal PSU position. There may have been a cooling problem in the past. Can't see much sense in exhausting the PSU heat inside the case. This would pretty well negate any benefit from the second fan. I'd be inclined to get it rejigged or pick up a new case, then you'd have as many extras bays as you're likely to need.
