Thanks Jack. I don't know what it was today, but my mind wasn't in a "taking photos" place. I wasn't feeling very well which probably didn't help, and the 3 I've posted were the best of the worst if you know what I mean.

Fiona this are great photos.
For me the favourite one is the number 2 also. It has a great impact and the feeling it conveys is very powerful.
The angle and composition of the second one in my view throws a real punch at you and quite deep when you couple the power of the image with the realisation of what this day stands for.

Ok, now I have a confession to make. I was having so much trouble getting shot number 2 (not feeling well and trying to crouch/kneel with my dodgy ankle) that I passed the camera to Danny (Unlocker). So it's actually his shot and he deserves the credit for it. It pains me even more to say that he just held the camera down low and pressed the button without being able to see the photo! And he got such a great result!
Sorry for misleading you all, thought I might get away with it but guilt got the better of me!

Fiona didn't you at least hold the camera strap or something like that while he was taking the shot? Or held his shirt while he was leaning to take the shot? I am just trying to find a way to make this shot belong to you , you wanted the shot taken and noticed it and tried to compose it so surely Danny has to give you the credit for it ha

Definitely number 2! In my opinion the unusual angle and foreground poppies add a boatload of interest to the shot.
