Lens Error

Is there any way to fix this? I think there may be some sand stuck in there somewhere. We had the camera for less than a week before this happened....

I think you're referring to a message which appears briefly before the camera shuts down? I have the same difficulty

George - settle! (although your point is salient and made with some wit )

First move would be to try another lens. If the fault is still apparent then the body is suspect, otherwise, the first lens.

I would try cleaning the contacts on body and lens with a clean dry tissue.

I think George has had plenty of time to settle !
