Welcome to the forum.

Any Pentax K (bayonet) mount lens will work with your camera. Some restrictions apply however. You'll get a reasonable list of the restrictions from the K20D camera manual which you can download from www.pentaximaging.com.

My recommendation would be to stick to lenses having the A setting on the aperture ring, or lenses that have no aperture ring. leae he A lenses set to A and set the aperture from the body.

SMC Pentax-A lenses are manual focus, SMCP-F, FA, D-FA & DA are autofocus. The D-FA, DA and DA* lenses are optimized for use on DSLR's.

Any lens with the * (star) suffix is a top grade lens, fast, and expensive.

For now, I'd avoid buying SMCP or SMCP-M lenses as there are exposure/metering issues when used with the later Pentax/Sasmsung DSLR's.

This might help although it doesn't go as far as the K20D

An almost complete list of Pentax lenses that you can use with your camera is on this site:

http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/lenses/index.html#data

You can use the pre "A" types - but some extra hassle will be involved. So stick to "A" and later - unless there is a particular advantage with a certain "M" or "K" lens for you.

There are also many Pentax compatible lenses from other makes, including Sigma and Tamron.
