lens cleaning

Have anyone tried single use cleaning wipes intended for spectacles on camera lenses? and if so did you have any problems. I recently bought some for my glasses and was amazed at how simple it was to get my glasses clean and smear free with the minimum amount of effort. I have never been very good at cleaning lenses, hence my addiction to UV fiilters (I thought it better to use sandpaper on the filter than the lens :D :D :D ) I am seriously considering removing all my filters and using these lens wipes, I'll probably start with one of my older lenses to make sure it doesn't have any adverse effect, just thought I'd get some opinions here first.

Spectacle lens cleaner and lint free cloths from the poundshop.

+1 for the lens pen, re uv filters, i remember somewhere it was mentioned about using these and the one comment that stuck in my mind was " why would you put a cheap piece of glass in front of a lens that a, you paid a lot of money to get top quality glass and b, they are protected from damage by a hood", that as we all know should be in place when lens is in use
