lemon and lime

This is my first effort at this shot I now it's not the sharpest lime in the world but hay My first go at it.

I think I need to re shoot this in the studio where I can play with coloured filter over the flash heads (Green,Blue and maybe yellow)

I would still like to here your comments and input on refining this shot

No glass on this shot as first thought because of nasty reflections. I think I need to use black reflector

I like the idea. Well executed too.
But i feel the upper right corner is too empty. Perhaps you could manage to get the splash to stretch further, if you know what I mean.

Blimey, James. I was going to suggest you got out more if you're bored, but if staying in yields results like this, then I won't.

I love the squirt, or splash. Very well captured. Slick advertising type shot.

Had me wondering if it were gin or vodka so you must have captured to feel it is also most attractive.

I think the idea is good, but have to agree with Terry, I did have a go at rotating then gropping etc, but it needed a larger image to work with.

Keep up these as it makes me think about the technique that you showed us last time, and one day having a try myself.

I like it - I love the contrast of the green and the black ground - but it [ the black ground ] does , for me anyway , take away the colour in the droplets/ splashes. I'd like to see a bit more colour in them - but don't ask me how you would get that cos I ain't a clue

I agree with TT, I think its a fantastic and well executed shot but feel the splash could be much better, not coloured as TT suggests but a bit brighter than they are.

Agree with most of the above Good idea, nicely lit, but the splash could be better.

PS That lime looks much greener than limes available at my local Tesco, especially the inner peel.

I've a feeling , though being me I can't prove it , that if the droplets/splash bits are 'improved' / accentuated , there will be more colour in them - but of those lovely tones we can see over the lime etc at present .

Tim It's organic I will alter the colour look's like I pushed it a bit to much I will add some more splashes later.

Made me reach for the bottle !

I mean that in a positive way, I like it..it stands out as a strong image.

Well I've tried to add more splash and reduce saturate

I've tried to add splash from a different image but I gave up (I'm at my limit as far as photo shop editing goes)

Been having another look at this James, I think its the black background thats affecting the splashes, can I suggest trying it with a white background, this should make the splashes brighter then you could try changing the background to black in PS.

I will re-shoot it in a better environment tomorrow. Alan the water/lemonade need's black reflectors to show contrast I think if I'm wrong please advice.
