Leaning? I think it is the SR as it varies. Can be corrected easily later on though so it is not too bad.

Still a bit annoying though.

Why don't you take it back to the shop? There are some clever people on here, but they cannot fix your camera for you over an Internet connection.

Your third post made me think otherwise. You said: "Iīll be sending the camera to the Pentax workshop".

You have not yet said you have done so, and you have continued to make posts which imply the camera is still in your possession, like this one: "Mine is not varying. Iīts constantly off."

From this data, a logical person is bound to suppose that you have NOT yet sent the camera away.

Anyway, you have made your point, at some length. Now you just have to wait patiently and see what transpires.

People get what they ask for, in my experience.

Mats curtly suggested that I was making a wrong assumption. The fault was entirely his, as I pointed out. When people are rude, others are rude back.

Your own posts are already starting to irritate people because you don't edit them properly, and that makes them difficult to read. For instance, looking at your post above , there are NINE errors in the first sentence alone.

If you stay a bit longer you will find that we are a very friendly group, but we don't tolerate sloppy English or stupid people. I'm sure you are not stupid, and I am sure you can, with a little care, post readable messages.

Best wishes

G
Fair enough if you are a friendly group, I was just saying that it seems like a few people on this forum like to put people down for silly things.

I am sorry if my posts may be hard to read or understand at times but I joined this forum to get other peoples opinions and suggestions about a hobby that we are all into. I didnt realise that you had to be spot on with grammer and punctuation to get a point across or have a question answered. I will try harder to make my posts easier to read but in the end it comes down to understanding that not everyone is so caught up on spelling ect and really just want to have a discussion with others and generally just a have a chat.

I will also make this a public post so that all the people I have irritated will be able to see that I apologise.

It's also rude to post private messages without getting the other person's assent in advance!

I sent a private message to spare your blushes, and also so as not to make too much of the very minor issue concerning Mats.

But what's done is done. Let's look forward to a friendly future!

Good grammar and punctuation help make your questions and comments clearer. It's hard enough to get messages to come across right online anyway, people can easily take things the wrong way, so the clearer and easier it is to read a message the better.

You're also more likely to be taken seriously, and have your questions answered, if you take the time to make your points clearly. Everyone makes the odd typo now and again though, so you don't have to be spot on every time.

To me, that's why punctuation and grammar are important.

Also, and I'm just making a general comment here, not directing this at you, I (and I would guess many others too, not just on this forum) get irritated by the incorrect use of "there'", "their" and "they're", and of "to", "too" and "two". I don't know what they're teaching them in schools these days...

You actually said: "I will also make this a public post ".

You didn't say, "Do you mind if I post this publicly?"

It seemed I had no choice in the matter.

But let's drop the subject and talk about cameras. Just to let you know, I occasionally find that my horizons aren't horizontal. This has been the case since my first film camera in 1958, and I haven't noticed any increased incidence since getting the K10D.

However, I am quite willing to believe that this problem can occur, due to a misalignment of prisms or mirrors or whatever, and I would hope and expect that it will be easy to fix.

I certainly don't think it is something to put you off buying the camera, irritating though it must be to those who suffer from it.

George.

Iīve been with this forum for a while now and Iīve seen a friendly attidude. For the most.

But when someone implify that I wouldnīt be clever enough to understand that the Pentax workshop would manage to fix my camera, I get somewhat irritated and thatīs why you got your answer. I may not have reported to you that it was sent, but as I said in that post, I was about to be by that time. You read that, but needed to tell me to send it back anyway, beacause "it wonīt be fixed on the internet", like I didnīt know better....

This is not my common style to communicate with people, wich you will see if you check my previous posts, but I draw a line.

Anyway, the camera body is at the workshop and itīs the third time Iīm forced to send it there. The first one didnīt work at all when I recieved it, so I had to get that one replaced.

I see that you carry some Pentax gear including twoK10D bodies, which I take would mean that you like them and thats good on you. But Iīm not here just for praising Pentax stuff. Iīve been using Pentax since the early -70īs and Iīm attached to the brand, but not dead loyal. I only like stuff that works properly and are trouble free. If the K10D has given me trouble, Iīm going to tell you and others about it. That will also keep Pentax up to date in terms of users feedback.

If my spelling or language isnīt by the book in this post, I can only say that my knowledge in English is limited to the English classes back in shool and I hope to be excused.

Over and out.

Shane.

No worries man. Even though you donīt have several thousands of posts, it doesnīt mean youīre not allowed to react on things you donīt like.
