Kx Software will not load on computer

Hi All,

Has anyone had any trouble loading the software from the Kx disc onto their computer? I'm running a one year old Dell laptop with Windows 7 but it gets part way through the installation and then freezes although task manager indicates that it is still running. I thought it might have been an administrator issue with a work laptop but the IT guys have also failed. Bizarrely it will load onto my wifes 10yo laptop.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I have already got Faststone on a memory stick so can view RAW files (thanks to advice received in my joining post) but it's disappointing to be in this position with a new camera and modern computer....

find the setup.exe (if you can't find it open the autorun.inf in notepad and it will tell you where it is) on the disc and right click and run in compatibility mode.

Thanks Steve, but no still no joy. No matter what I do it tries to install, then the progress bar flickers and it grinds to a halt. Every trick I have tried has failed. Very annoying...
